Established on 2015  Model College Somni,Rajnandgaon affiliated with Hemchand Yadav University Durg Chhattisgarh. Initially it was started in Govt Digvijay Autonomous PG College, Rajnandgaon the lead college of the district. Model College creation provided a unique opportunity to young rural background Students for quality higher education for many it was a dream to come true. This college came in existence with the concept of residential Campus, Model College offers education in under graduate level with  Math’s, Physics, Computer Science, General Hindi,  General English and additional Subject Environment Studies with 50 seats for each class with above combinations of subject. This College has atmosphere of high academic excellence. In current session 2022-23 four new courses where introduced BCA, BCOM, BCOM(Comp Application),BSC(BIO) with 50 seats in each courses and now the college has been shifted to its new building in Somni GE Road Rajnandgaon  with lush green residential campus.
