Govt English Medium Model College Somni Rajnandgaon celebrated National Unity Day on 31st of Oct, 2021 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. This event primarily highlighted on the message of “Unity in Diversity.” The event was also crucial in introducing youth of the values of leadership qualities and patriotism in the greater good of nation and society as a whole while learning from the example of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

The event started with a pledge or oath-taking ceremony that embarked the spirit of nationalism among the fellow students. Every students participated in this event.

 The following pledge was administered to students: “I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself top reserve the unity, integrity and security of Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this Pledge in Spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my Country"
